Have you ever wanted your own flight-simulator cockpit but felt limited by the space, cost or complexity involved in building one?
That is exactly where DesktopCockpits began.
As a flight simmer, I was inspired by the incredible full-scale cockpit builds created by the community. However, like many people, I didn’t have room for a permanent simulator, still needed my desk for everyday use and didn’t want to spend months designing, printing and assembling everything from scratch.
I searched for something compact, practical and pre-assembled—but couldn’t find a solution that met those needs.
So I created one.
After months of designing, prototyping and refining, the first DesktopCockpits model was built: a desktop cockpit designed to provide greater immersion without permanently taking over the room.
From One Cockpit to a Growing Business
What began as a personal project quickly became something much bigger.
After launching the first cockpit on Etsy, orders began arriving from flight simmers around the world. Their support, feedback and consistent five-star reviews helped turn DesktopCockpits from a single idea into a growing UK business.
As demand increased, we moved into a dedicated production workspace and continued investing in improved designs, manufacturing processes, packaging and product support.
Today, every DesktopCockpits product is designed with the same goal that inspired the original: helping flight simmers spend less time building and more time flying.

What We Create
We design and manufacture pre-assembled desktop cockpit structures for home flight simulation.
Our cockpits combine integrated displays, carefully designed mounting positions and compact desktop installation to create an immersive flight-deck layout without requiring customers to manufacture the cockpit structure themselves.
Each cockpit is designed to be:
- Pre-assembled and ready for guided setup
- Supplied with integrated displays
- Usable without programming
- Compatible with selected flight-simulation software and hardware
- Quick to install and remove when required
- Suitable for compact home simulator setups
Compatible third-party flight controls, computer equipment and simulator software are purchased separately, allowing customers to choose the equipment that best suits their preferred setup.
