Shipping policy
Delivery
- All delivery timeframes are estimates and not guarantees, particularly for international shipments which may be subject to customs processing. Any customs delays are outside of our control. We are not liable for delays due to carriers, customs, or events beyond our control.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring availability to receive delivery. We are not liable for any costs or losses resulting from failed or delayed delivery attempts.
- Customers are responsible for cooperating with any carrier requests, including customs clearance where required. Failure to cooperate, or refusal to accept delivery, may void eligibility for refunds or replacements.
- Once your order is shipped, the buyer is responsible for communicating with the local courier.
-
Someone must be available to accept the delivery.
- Please ensure your delivery address is correct. DesktopCockpits cannot be held liable, and no refund will be issued if a parcel is lost due to an incorrect address.
- DesktopCockpits cannot be held liable for missed deliveries due to absence.
Damaged, Delayed or Lost Parcels
- Delays, including extended customs holds, do not qualify as a lost parcel.
- If a parcel is delayed but still in transit, we will continue to monitor the shipment and support resolution, but refunds or replacements will not be issued during this period
- In the rare event of loss, replacements will only be issued once the shipping carrier has officially confirmed that a parcel is lost. A parcel will only be considered lost once confirmed as such by the shipping carrier following a formal investigation.
- If a parcel is damaged in transit, we can arrange a return and send a replacement, once suitable evidence has been provided.
- All orders are shipped with full tracking and insurance.
International Orders & Customs
- If you are ordering outside the UK, you are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, carrier and broker fees. Please check local regulations before purchasing.
- Refusal to pay customs duties may result in the parcel being returned to us. In this case, no refund will be issued.
- Once a parcel is held by customs, the buyer must liaise directly with the customs office (or UPS if required) to secure release.
- For certain destinations, delivery may take significantly longer due to customs procedures and local postal handling. By placing an order, the customer acknowledges that delays of several weeks can occur and do not constitute grounds for refund or replacement.
- The Tariff Code used is HS 9504.50 / 9504500000 – “Video game / simulation machines (consumer use)”. This product is for home computer use only, not for aviation or professional training.
- DesktopCockpits cannot be held responsible for customs disputes, additional taxes, or delays due to customs withholding a parcel.
